An 8 year old’s letter to Ukrainian soldiers

Ukraine FlagDear Soldier,

I don’t have a dad, my grandpa is disabled and other than you, my mom and I don’t have anyone to protect us.

Thank you! For the fact that I can play at the playground, eat ice cream, watch cartoons!

My mom and I will never forget what you are doing now! When I grow up I want to be as brave as you! Because I love Ukraine very much and will protect her! And my mom! And my grandma and my grandpa! And you! Thank you for the fact that you now are fighting for my future! I promise – I won’t let you down!

–Ivan Mykhailov, 8 years old,

Suspended St. Louis Police Officer: “I’m Into Diversity, I Kill Everybody”

A St. Louis County police officer, who was seen pushing a CNN anchor during protests in Ferguson, Mo., this week, was suspended from duty after a controversial video surfaced, in which he fashions himself as a merciless killer.

“I personally believe in Jesus Christ as my lord and savior, but I’m also a killer,” said officer Dan Page, a 35-year veteran, in the video. “I’ve killed a lot. And if I need to, I’ll kill a whole bunch more. If you don’t want to get killed, don’t show up in front of me. I have no problems with it. God did not raise me to be a coward.” Page added, “I’m into diversity — I kill everybody. I don’t care.”

St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said Page has been suspended, pending a review by the internal affairs unit, which will begin Monday. The video was brought to Belmar’s attention by CNN’s Don Lemon.

Judge Orders FBI to Investigate FBI in Witness Tampering

        Aug 25, 2014, 12:42 P
A federal judge has ordered the FBI to scrutinize allegations one of its agents pressured a witness not to testify in a trial about videos related to the Oklahoma City bombing.

During a Monday hearing, the judge told FBI attorneys to report the results of the witness-tampering investigation Nov. 13.

Utah lawyer Jesse Trentadue claims the FBI urged a former government operative not to testify, which the agency calls baseless.

Trentadue is trying to convince the judge a video exists showing Timothy McVeigh didn’t act alone. The agency says they have done a reasonable search and found no additional, unreleased videos.

WASHINGTON—Sixteen former Puerto Rico police officers have pleaded guilty for their roles in a criminal organization run out of the police department. The officers used their affiliation with law enforcement to commit robbery and extortion, to manipulate court records in exchange for bribes, and to sell illegal narcotics.
