Michael Moore’s Moronic Misguided Maunderings: Missing the Magic of America

clowns-072709Michael Moore thinks Americans are dopes. The purpose behind his open letter is to scare us into voting for Hillary Clinton with the specter of a Benito Trump and his band of Trumpeteers taking over our country. He wants us to forget only a few years ago he said: “the actions and words of Hillary Clinton have gone from being merely disappointing to downright disgusting. I guess the debate last week was the final straw. I’ve watched Senator Clinton and her husband play this game of appealing to the worst side of white people, but last Wednesday, when she hurled the name “Farrakhan” out of nowhere, well that’s when the silly season came to an early end for me. She said the “F” word to scare white people, pure and simple.”

Now Moore has gone full Clinton. He is saying “Trump will Win” “to scare the white people, pure and simple.”

His reasons, he lists five, are simplistic. Although I agree with him calling Trump a clown because as I wrote in my introduction that is exactly what I always considered Moore so it takes one to know one. But Moore in deprecating the American people’s intelligence is using his unique brand of reverse psychology (“I wanted to be proven wrong”) to predict a Trump win. He tells us the American people are not as smart as he is (which we knows he truly believes) and are living in a bubble while he is apparently living outside in his own real world.

He tells us we believe false things not wanting to accept “life is already a shit show and it’s hard enough struggling to get by from paycheck to paycheck.” I always find it amusing these multi-multi- millionaires deigning to pretend knowledge of  how others live and think. Most American feel quite different that Moore fantasizes.

Moore thinks America is about to go socialist. To support his wisdom he points out that his candidate was Bernie “the socialist who won 22 states this year.” He writes as if the anti-Hillary vote was not instrumental in his Bernie’s victories yet he offers this in his third reason.

Moore says Trump will win because among others “Billy Bob and Billy Joe and Billy Bob Joe” (the usual leftist anti-Southern propaganda) will show up to vote and the others, I suppose the good Americans, won’t. He then lists five nonsense reasons.

First reason, the Rustbelt Vote – (Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin)  where he tells about Angry, embittered working (and nonworking) people.” Two things he would not understand: they are American before anything else who won’t vote for a hater when push comes to shove; and the more important other is that the Poles, Ukrainians and others from the Baltic States and Eastern Europe who heavily populate those states will come out in droves to vote against him for his position on Russian and Putin which threaten their homelands.

Second reason: his myth of the angry white man. He suggests they were against Title IX which was enacted into law by the same men he says were against it but don’t look for logic. As for Title IX I know of no father who was unhappy that his daughter had the same opportunity to participate in sports as his sons. But his idea of white men being unable to vote for a woman is belied by the many women who are elected every year. Moore lives in his own world of the 1970s – which is good for his pocket-book to picture all white men as anti-female, anti-gay, anti-black etc. stoking the fires of hate by his ridicule.

Third reason:  Hillary herself.  Not wanting to burn bridges and really if truth be known he knows Hillary will win he starts off by saying “I actually like Hillary” (forget a few years ago he called her disgusting). He then tells how unpopular she is and how there is a great lack of enthusiasm for her unlike that for Obama and his boy Bernie.  I agree that is the one factor going in Trump’s favor but that has been around for a long time and Trump is stuck dead in the mud. If Hillary’s unpopularity meant people would vote for Trump over her he would be ahead by double digits which he isn’t and will never be.

Fourth reason: The youth vote is not excited. The Bernie voters will vote for Hillary but won’t bring out others with them. Moore’s socialist wish was for Warren Spahn’s namesake Elizabeth to be on the ballot with Hillary “having two women on the ticket was an exciting idea” but she picked “a moderate, bland-o, middle of the road old white guy.” Cranks like Moore do not understand America – he understands Hollywood and the crowd of lefties out there who represent few – but Americans want solid people like Tim Kaine. Moore will have to wait forever before he sees America go socialist and vote for a crank like Bernie.

Fifth reason: Americans lose their mind. It has not happened in the past as shown by the rejection of Barry Goldwater and George McGovern so it is not about to happen again. He suggests there are millions of “closet anarchists.” Oh, if only that was so then we would have had guys like Michael Moore and his anti-American friends in the Oval Office. Then we would not have had to worrying about people coming here.

Moore’s five reasons are as believable as his thoughts that the white American male is a bigoted hateful man trying to suppress everyone else clinging to his brand of capitalism. Moore is unable to see that it is the white male that has made America into a land where all can thrive and live together in peace in harmony and it is the capitalistic brand that has improved the lot of all races. Moore is an example of those who develop a philosophy when young and cling to it as the world passes by them.

  1. Why would anyone care about Michael Moore’s opinion of the 2016 election? If any do the number must be in the low single digits.

  2. Matt, too many intelligent freedom loving Americans will not vote to put the devious pair, Hillary and Bill, back in the White House.
See “13 minutes of Hillary Lying” and many other Youtube videos detailing 30 years of Clinton scandals.
    2. I can’t reiterate this often enough: Hillary plans to put Bill in charge of the Economy: Bill a known perjurer, a disbarred lawyer (facing disbarrment in Arkansas he settled for a 5 year suspension; facing disbarment from the US Supreme Court he resigned, giving up his law license) and he has been accused by multiple women as a sexual predator.
    3. Today, I read Stossell:http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2016/07/27/john-stossel-bill-and-hillary-clinton-have-remarkable-record-sleazy-dealings-why-do-still-thrive.html
    4. Also, recent polls show Trump leading. (although as Stossell points out Vegas bookies still give Clinton 2/1 odds).
    5. One additional point: Most Americans want Rapprochement with the Russians. July 25th poll of the Rust Belt State of Ohio: Trump is up by 3 points (PPP) in a four way race.
Who has been cozy with the Russians? Bill Clinton accepted a $500,000 speaking fee from a Moscow Bank with close ties to the Kremlin. Check out the Uranium One deal!

  3. So if not Hillary, Trump then?

  4. Well, she may have good investment tips for Michael:

“It is not credible for her to argue that she took the money because she wasn’t sure she was going to run for president or that she was “dead broke.” She and Bill hauled in $139 million from 2007 to 2014.”
