Politics Monday: Trump Lies: America Dies:

On Saturday Trump tweeted: “The deep state, or whoever, over at the FDA is making it very difficult for drug companies to get people in order to test the vaccines and therapeutics, Obviously, they are hoping to delay the answer until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed, and saving lives!”

This was done with no evidence. Sunday evening a little after 5:30 p.m. Trump announce what he called a major breakthrough on the Covid – 19 virus talkig about an FDA emergency approval involving the use of plasma treatment. You have to think the FDA succumbed to his pressure because he wanted a fake announcement before the convention.

Every doctor interviewed said the treatment has been used since March and there is no breakthrough. In fact, the tests are inconclusive and the large scale tests have yet to be done. This will make it more difficult to do them. A lie by Trump puts the people of America at greater risk if they believe there really has been a breakthrough.

On Saturday, August 22, 2020, Trump  tweeted:

“The Democrats took the word GOD out of the Pledge of Allegiance at the Democrat National Convention. At first I thought they made a mistake, but it wasn’t. It was done on purpose. Remember Evangelical Christians, and ALL, this is where they are coming from-it’s done. Vote Nov 3!”

It is a gross lie provable by going back and watching the people at the Democratic Convention saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Trump to justify his tweet points to a Muslim caucus where God is omitted as you would expect from a Muslim; and one other in a LGBTQ caucus meeting where you might also expect some not to want to refer to God.

But Trump said it was taken out at the Convention. The truth is each night when it opened it was included in the pledge. Why would he do it?

You know as well as I do. It is an old Trump trick. Lie and let the lie stay out there for a while. His folk pick it up, don’t bother to determine if it is true, and pass it on to other people.

It is an example of this quote: “All propaganda must be popular and its intellectual level must be adjusted to the most limited intelligence among those it is addressed to. Consequently, the greater the mass it is intended to reach, the lower its purely intellectual level will have to be.” — Adolf Hitler

What bothers me is that his followers are so dumb as to believe him. I know there are people out there who talk about a ‘Deep State’ just because he does. They have no idea what they are talking about but merely parrot his words. It is really sad.

They are like the QAnon people who believe in the most weird conspiracy  theories. The main one being, that the  world is run by a cabal of Satan-worshiping pedophiles who are plotting against Mr. Trump while operating a global child sex-trafficking ring. I often scratch my head that the Trump people don’t look around and see the company they are in when supporting Trump.

Then there’s the Trump ongoing lie about voter fraud and his make-believe assertion that mail-in voting is going to produce a false count of votes. Both he and AG Barr said millions of foreign votes will be sent in. AG Barr was asked if he had any evidence of it; he answered no but it is common sense that it will happen. Actually, common sense would tell you otherwise since five states have been doing only it for years without a problem and no other state that uses it has encountered a problem.

Why I wonder don’t the Republicans want everyone to vote? Trump tweeted about drop off boxes for ballots hoping to scare people away from voting: ‘They are not Covid sanitized. A big fraud!’

Is thia the America you want where as many people who can be disenfranchised as possible is the goal? Just that alone should make you recognize that the Republicans have to cheat to win. If  you support it you belong to the party of cheaters.

Do you support the hindering of the Post Office? Mail is now piling up, food is rotting in post offices, it is taking longer and longer to be processed. Why is that so? It is another attempt by Trump to make it difficult for people to vote.

Why is the governor of California asking Australia and Canada for help in fighting its forest fires. “ Its governor said: “just today, the president of the United States threatened the state of California — 40 million Americans happen to live here in the state of California — to defund our efforts on wildfire suppression because he said we hadn’t raked enough leaves.”

When it became totally embarrassing to Trump to see other nations responding to help an American state did he change his mind and offer help. You want a divided country; that’s what you get with Trump.

The real problem is he lies so much that when you bat down one another one pops up like mushrooms after a rain storm. And to think people support him.

  1. The mother of a pal of mine escaped from Austria just after the Germans took over. She worked tirelessly to save her family from the Nazis. Most got out. She told me, on more than one occasion, that, before Hitler rose to power, he was considered to be a clown. People didn’t take him seriously. Sounds like our Glorious Leader.

  3. Be interesting if T loses Florida. His attitude seems to be that any state that has mail-in voting and he loses, is rigged. What will the excuse then?

I keep looking for him to follow-up on the accusation that his pal Putin is offering bounty on American servicemen. This loud silence I interpret as either indifference or tacit approval. No outrage, no promise to get to the truth—nothing.

PS. In my latest fight with the extreme left I noted that the difference between us on this issue is I hope Trump knows nothing about it. They hope he does.

  4. I see big sister says brother Donald is a liar, a cheat, a phony and a man who can’t or doesn’t read. I also see the president is speaking on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday! What a treat! What will we do without him?

  5. Dave — I do not think it nice for you to refer to Matt in this manner.

Yesterday Matt wrote: “All I suggest is avoid condemning others.” And today, once again, he compares Trump to Hitler, and he has done so for four years.

Matt admits that at two DNC caucuses “under God” was omitted from the Pledge. Those were Democratic caucuses at the Democratic Convention. No lie to say Democrats omitted “under God”; some did.

Matt labels “lies” what are differences of opinion. Whether better forest management practices (clearing undergrowth) can reduce forest fires is debatable. But Matt’s implication that Trump is neglecting California’s emergencies is belied by Governor Newsom himself. Headline San Francisco Chronicle: August 22, 2020: “Newsom ‘grateful’ for Trump approval of California wildfire disaster help.” The article continues, “We maintain a strong personal relationship with the vice president. We maintain a strong personal relationship with the president,” Newsom said. “There’s not one phone call that I have made to the president where he hasn’t quickly responded, and almost in every instance, he has responded favorably in addressing the emergency needs of this state.”

If Trump is mistaken about raking leaves, a mistake is not a lie.

Matt mocks the FDA’s Emergency Use Authorization of Covid Convalescent Plasma (CCP). The EUA facilitates the use of CCP by physicians and hospitals. The EUA removes FDA bureaucratic stumbling blocks, red tape. Yes CCP has been used before, with some success, and now it will be more easily and more widely available.

Matt faults Trump for criticizing the FDA. Yesterday, August 23, 2020, on Mark Levin’s show, a renowned Yale Medical/Yale Public Health epidemiologist Harvey Reich excoriated the FDA and others in the NIH for ‘massive disinformation campaign’ against hydroxychloroquine. Doctor Reich also excoriated the FDA for delay in approving life saving drugs during the AIDs crisis. Why not watch his interview? https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/fitness/renowned-epidemiologist-sees-massive-disinformation-campaign-against-hydroxychloroquine/vi-BB18hVrG

Matt can’t figure out why 60 million Americans voted for Trump in 2016 and more will vote for him in 2020. Read this: https://townhall.com/columnists/waynegrudem/2020/08/24/30-good-things-president-trump-has-done-for-america-n2574849. “Thirty good things President Trump has done for America:” 1. Appointing Conservative Judges 2. Historic tax cuts and deregulation. 3.Stronger Military. 4. Protecting unborn babies. 5. Expanding educational freedom. 6. Standing with Israel. 7. Historic agreement between Israel and UAE. 8. Building a border wall. 9. Proposed comprehensive immigration reform. 10. Religious freedom and freedom of conscience. 11. Withdrawing from Paris Climate Accord. 12. Energy Independence/ Energy Production . . .15. Defeating ISIS. 16 Persuading European nations to pay more for NATO . . .17 & 18. Protecting due process and freedom of speech on college campuses. 19. protecting boys and girls locker rooms. 20. negotiating more favorable trade deals. 21. Streamlining environmental reviews . . .

    Read the details for yourself.

The bottom line, Trump like Reagan is a conservative favoring lower taxes, fewer regulations, stronger defense, conservative jurists, protecting unborn human beings. That’s why I and sixty-million-plus Americans will vote for him again.

    • At what point does your soul just wither up and die inside of you while you twist and contort all of your mental faculties and moral beliefs to defend this repugnant human being?

OK. I see one thing he did that is fairly good. The rest is all bullfeathers. (Thank you, Pat Paulson)

If you guessed #6, Jew were right!

    • wa-llahi! Trump is stupid, but, not dishonest? Nice try, Bill.

  7. Perot Conservative

Actually, the President just released fire fighting planes and Governor Newsom thanked him for his assistance.

    • You know, we wouldn’t have any forest fires if we just did what the Finnish people do. They go out and rake all the dead leaves in the whole forest and there are no forest fires. That is what Bonespurs said. We have about 800,000,000 acres of forested land in the US. Give or take. So each American has to rake about 2 1/2 acres and no more forest fires. I figure we can let all the Mexicans in that want to be here and hand them each a rake. They do two acres and they can stay. What do you think?

      Rake America Great Again!
