Special Report: Does FBI Stand for Fumbling Bumbling Incompetence

(`) Joe BltzAs I was listening to the news about the FBI re-opening the investigation into Hillary Clinton the words that came into my mind were Fumbling Bumbling Incompetents. Yes, the first letters spell out FBI. Perhaps you think I am making it up but as I used to say as a young kid when someone questioned something I was saying,  “right hand up to God.” It is the truth.

You must admit that it properly describes what is going on. How else explain what Director Comey and the FBI at the present moment have done.

Director Comey sent a letter to several congressional leaders which reads:

“In previous congressional testimony, I referred to the fact that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had completed its investigation of former Secretary Clinton’s personal email server. Due to recent developments, I am writing to supplement my previous testimony.

In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation. I am writing to inform you that the investigative team briefed me on this yesterday, and I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation.

Although the FBI cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant, and I cannot predict how long it will take to complete this additional work, I believe it is important to update your Committee about our efforts in light of my previous testimony.”  (my emphasis)

To start with, under no interpretation can that letter be viewed as a supplement to his previous testimony. It discloses nothing. Nothing does not supplement anything.

Now you know I am not at all happy with the prospect of Hillary Clinton getting anywhere near the Oval Office. Unlike Midas who turned everything he touched into gold; she’s more like the Devil turning everything she touches into crud.

But fair is fair. So keep this into context when I say what Comey has done with his letter is outrageous.

Many believe he went into the bag when he concluded his first investigation back in July. He said in today’s letter the FBI “had completed its investigation, . . . ” He had told us “no reasonable prosecutor” would have charged Hillary. Many disagreed but it did not matter.

It is now eleven days before the election. Comey writes the FBI has now found other emails in “an unrelated case” which are pertinent to the case that was concluded.

If he is to be believed, here’s is the kicker. The FBI “cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant, . . .”  because they have to review the emails and assess their importance.

Wouldn’t basic decency demand that he take those steps before making a big ado about this? You all know the routine soft shoe you get from the FBI when you ask about anything — “get lost, can’t talk, it’s under investigation” – – why wasn’t that the policy here? Shouldn’t the  investigation have been done prior to the sending of the letter?

This is amateur hour. What he did is unheard of. He has tainted Hillary (“lock her up”) without having any reason to do this if he is to be believed that the importance of the material has not been assessed. Why is the man jumping into a presidential race at the eleventh hour with a half-baked investigation?

It’s like Joe Shitz trying to get elected and the FBI coming out and saying “in connection with a rape case investigation the FBI has come up with information that appears to be pertinent about Joe Shitz but we need time to assess whether it is significant.”

See how damaging it can be even thought it says nothing. That is why the FBI usually refuses to comment on its investigations. Why then did it do it now other than Comey has surrounded himself with fumbling bumbling incompetents.

  1. buzzzzz:sorry guys wrong answer.
The organization model of the FBI
is a death squad posing as a law
    enforcement agency.

    It is keeping to form
    in the Clinton investigation.
watch the doc Sirius to see
    how deep this goes

    • MS:

How could that bunch of fumbling bumbling incompetents ever make it up to the level of a death squad? I’d assume you need some sort of skill to be that.

  2. Matt:

As you state so well, this is a stunning announcement.

    My guess is the following:

Someone higher up in the FBI chain of command leaked and Comey knew that the leak would be exposed sooner or later. His announcement does two things.

Based on “new evidence” Comey decided that he needed to redeem his reputation so he chose “sooner.”

Comey realized that he was selling out the FBI, America and his family and decided it wasn’t worth it.

    • I don’t think the FBI has legal access to these ‘devices’ and their contents yet. Weiner’s case was turned over to the Manhattan DA in September, along with the ‘devices.’

“The FBI’s bombshell was prompted by the discovery of ‘another device’ with emails relevant to the investigation and the stunning link between Clinton, Abedin and Weiner was first exposed by the New York Times.

NBC News national security correspondent Pete Williams reported that during their investigation, the FBI realized that Huma also used Weiner’s laptop—which contained email exchanges between Abedin and Clinton.

He added that the FBI wanted to make plain this was not technically a re-opening of the probe, as it had never been shut.”

      • Henry:

If the FBI did not have access then the letter should never have been sent.I suggest it has access and knows what is in the emails or the sending of the letter based upon not knowing it really proves that organization is a mess. How long does it take to go through emails – Comey had 1000 agents working for him in D.C. – he had 150 assigned to the case – he had to have done due diligence before writing the letter.

Then you see how messed up the FBI is with the last sentence. It apparently makes a difference behind the walls of the FBI’s castle whether a case was re-opened or continued even though it looked closed. The people in there don’t understand no one cares about that silliness. If you close a murder case and something new is found out you say you re-opened it. That’s what is normally done. The FBI thinks that is some type of admission of failure which cannot happen in the FBI so it says the case was never closed even though the Director said it was. That agency is really out of touch.

        • My guess is that someone told Comey to rig his findings and get the DOJ off the hook. He was stupid and did what they told him.

Like I said, I believe his own “furious” agents blew the whistle and leaked, incriminating documents leaving Comey in the impossible position to stay silent.

          Stay tuned.

Something’s rotten in Clinton Park! 🙂

  4. Something’s rotten in the FBI.
What does “appear to be pertinent” mean? Either it’s pertinent or not.
Don’t go public unless you’ve found something that’s pertinent, probative, important , significant and relevant.
If the FBI has not found substantial new evidence of wrongdoing, then Comey’s letter may have severely harmed the Clinton campaign.
If the FBI has found substantial new evidence of wrongdoing, then the equivocating letter has done a disservice to the American public’s right to know who they are electing as President.
Has the FBI discovered something foul, and is now figuring out how to de-odorize it or how to delay its full disclosure until after the election?
What good does this letter do? Is it a false alarm? A feint? A smokescreen? A cover for a FBI cover-up via delay? Can we expect another announcement from Comey right before the election that Hillary is as pure as Snow White or right after the election that Hillary is guilty as sin?
I join Clinton’s campaign and others’ demand for an immediate release of whatever Comey has discovered. Of course, Comey certainly has anticipated that demand. I guess Comey figures he’ll just keep us in suspense.
    Something’s rotten in . . . Denmark!

    • Bill C,
They did the same thing with the Gardner investigation…Big announcement a few years ago that they SOLVED the case and they KNEW who did it…..but nothing came out of it.

      • Rather:

A guy sent me an interesting theory on the Gardner Museum Heist. I don’t agree with some of it but it is worth telling. I’ve asked him how much of it I can use. I have yet to get a reply back.

    • Bill:

My sentiments exactly. If there is nothing to it Comey must resign; if it is as serious as it should be that he was required to send the letter so close to the election then Clinton should step down. I don’t see any other outcomes.

  5. Bizarre. The ‘unrelated case’ is a sex photo investigation of Anthony Weiner and his wife Huma

    • Henry:

Isn’t Bill Clinton’s middle name “Bizarre”? Everything he has done is bizarre not the least of which is his greed and pay to play program.

  6. Suddenly, we’re back on the same page. I agree with your analysis.
