Sunset in America: Listen To The Eerie Words of Trump.

Woman cryingI had a dispute with another whether Trump is woefully ignorant or a devious malign force deigning to destroy the America that we know.

Exhibit One is the transcript of the interview Trump gave within a week of his assuming the office to an English and German newspaper. Make your own judgment

Speaks in unintelligible gibberish.

“This is serious Germany, right? Like this isn’t any question — this is serious Germany.”

“I just looked at Afghanistan and you look at the Taliban – and you take a look at every, every year its more, more, more, you know they have the different colours – and you say, you know – what’s going on?”

“The White House is very special, there’s so much work to be done, I’m not gonna be leaving much — I mean a lot of work to be done — I’m gonna be in there working, doing what I’m supposed to be doing — but who wants to leave the White House?”

Has all the attributes of dictator.

“But I do, I like order and I like strength.”

Knows No Other People He Admires Other Than Father and Himself

Asked: “Do you have any models — are there heroes that you steer by — people you look up to from the past?”

Well, I don’t like heroes, I don’t like the concept of heroes, the concept of heroes is never great, . . . but I’ve learnt a lot from my father — I learnt a lot about negotiation from my father — although I also think negotiation is a natural trait, . . . natural ability, to me, is much more important to me than experience and experience is a great thing — I think it’s a great thing — but I learnt a lot from my father in terms of leadership.”

Hides His Ignorance Behind Wall of Secrecy

Asked What He Would Do About ISIS

Well, I’d rather not say, I don’t want to be like Obama or others where they say . . . “

Asked What He Would Do About Deal  With Iran

“Well, I don’t want to say what I’m gonna do with the Iran deal. I just don’t want to play the cards”

Asked About Moving Embassy  to Jerusalem

“Well, I don’t want to comment on that, again, but we’ll see what happens.”

Unable to do anything for weekend because of partying.

“I mean my day one is gonna be Monday because I don’t want to be signing and get it mixed up with lots of celebration, . . . “

Ignorant of vetting done at present for all persons seeking to enter in country. It takes at least 18 months to be cleared.

“The vetting into this country is essentially non-existent as it is, as it was at least, with your country.”

Cannot differentiate between legal immigration (Merkel inviting immigrants in) and illegal immigration (people entering or staying by breaking the law. Calls all immigrants illegals.

“I felt [Merkel] was a great, great leader. I think she made one very catastrophic mistake and that was taking all of these illegals, you know taking all of the people from wherever they come from.”

Lives in a world where everything revolves around money.

“I think we should have built safe zones in Syria. . . .  get the Gulf states to pay for ’em . . . .”

“NATO had problems. . . . Number two — the countries aren’t paying what they’re supposed to pay. . . . And the other thing is the countries aren’t paying their fair share so we’re supposed to protect countries but a lot of these countries aren’t paying what they’re supposed to be paying, which I think is very unfair to the United States. “

“I think it’s one of the worst deals ever made, I think it’s one of the dumbest deals I’ve ever seen, one of the dumbest, in terms of a deal. Where you give — where you give a $150 billion back to a country, where you give $1.7 billion in cash — did you ever see a million dollars in hundred dollar bills? It’s a lot. It’s a whole — it’s a lot. $1.7 billion in cash. Plane loads. Of, of — think of it — plane, many planes. Boom. $1.7 billion”

On Thinking We Can Win in Afghanistan by More Fighting:

“Afghanistan is, is not going well. Nothing’s going well — I guess we’ve been in Afghanistan almost 17 years — but you look at all of the places, now in all fairness, we haven’t let our people do what they’re supposed to do . . . . , we’re gonna have great military, but we haven’t let our military win.”

Concerned with Environment – Talked About The EU Dealing With His Irish Property

“Well I can tell you from the environmental standpoint, they were using environmental tricks to stop a project from being built — I found it to be a very unpleasant experience.”

  1. Glorious Leader’s ascension will bring to light all the contradictions in American society. Trump will be a bigger focus of hatred than Nixon ever was. He will bring the revolution much, much, closer. You can see it all beginning at Oceta Sakowin. The infrastructure that supports the pipe-line protest did not appear out of nowhere. We are an invisible army. All power to the Red Veterans! All power to the dialectic!

  2. Henry:

The only folks who understand the meaning of slavery are those who have done a prison term. Once you have been stripped of everything, including your humanity, you can begin to understand the existential plight of the black man. No books can teach you like experience can. From prison will come the army of revolution. It’s sharp scythe. honed by adversity, will cut down the bourgeoisie in the great reaping to come.

  3. John King McDonald

According to FRONTLINE, the man applied for Trademark on slogan MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN only six days after Mitt Romney’s failed ascent to the political empyrean in 2012 . So curiously deliberative and focused an action for one who reveals the clownishness in those who do not understand that this showman is neither clown , joke , accident, or Fortune’s fool .

  4. To ceaselessly put everything in the worst light is a sign of malice. This list indicates that or a severe dis-balance in judgement. With a limit of three examples, the first is a misrepresentation of Merkel’s policy of open borders. The economic migrants and rapefugees arrived without proper documentation. They had no visas and most had no reputable documentation. Such a status is well within the meaning of illegal. You conflate tolerance with legality. They are different.

Secondly, to equate ” I like order and I like strength” as being the attribute of a dictator misses the fact that it is also the attribute of successful people in most areas of life. It would apply to a good cop, a neat housekeeper, a decent father, a loving mother, an effective DA and so on.

Thirdly, “Hides His Ignorance Behind Wall of Secrecy” because he does not make public plans for dealing with several issues. I would love to play no limit with poker with you. Here are the rules. Your cards are dealt face up and mine are not. It would not be hard for me to clean you out. His comments display commonsense canniness, not ignorance.

If the Donkeys want to pick at a scab, fine. It will keep the sore open. They will not heal. The GOP will proceed to more and greater victories. Indulge the hurt, pump up the hate and screw yourselves.

    • Tadzio:

When person’s are invited into a country they are not illegal immigrants. You seem to think the illegality of them stems from them not having sufficient documentation which makes little sense since most people fleeing war torn areas will not have those. Further, the use of the words rapefugees is somewhat strange.

For a president to be to suggest he likes order and strength is much different than one of the people you mention. The essence of democracy is not order; the president is not supposed to rule over his people with strength.

This is not a game of polka. Trump lays out his plans for many things like doing away with the Affordable Care Act, Building a Wall, etc. but when it comes to important matter his brain is as empty as Mother Hubbard’s cupboard and that why he has no answer to those important matters.

I remind you it is your candidate that continues to tweet his bile — you like war, you got it with Trump.

  5. Sounds to me rather reminiscent of Dwight David Eisenhower’s press conferences.

The context of the comment on the EU and the environment in Ireland concerned the golf course at Doonbeg, Co. Clare, where they were stopped from building a seawall.

“Of all President-elect Donald J. Trump’s rivals over the past year, the tiny narrow-mouthed whorl snail must be the smallest. Sometimes, though, less is more.

“Mr. Trump’s real estate organization had planned to build a long sea wall off the Irish coast to protect its golf course in County Clare. But the wall faced opposition from environmental groups who said they feared that it would threaten the two-millimeter-long whorl snail, or vertigo angustior, which lives in the area, as well as coastal dunes. Both are protected by European Union rules.”

The proposed plans for a seawall will be resubmitted in a new form:

    • Henry:

I have friends up in Maine who live on a beach island and a neighbor built a seawall and forever changed the topography of the island. Where there once was sand became rocks. So people protested Trump’s seawall and Trump pulls a nutty. That is pretty much what I expect during his tenure which I hope will be short.
