The Saddest Americans: Those Who Support Trump’s Destruction of America

Welcome to Coronavirus Spread Day!  Yes, rather than having Juneteenth as a national holiday we will make this day a holiday and call it the Dumbest President’s Day. Is there anyone who believes holding a rally during a pandemic in a closed arena where there will be no social distancing and few, if any, masks is a good idea in a state and country where Covid-19 is increasing? Does anyone think this is a good example for a president to set? You know what, there should be no one who would say yes but there are many who will and some of them are reading this blog. They will spout all sorts of nonsense and whatisms  but there is truly no way they can defend this.

If this week hasn’t shown how bad Trump is then there is nothing that will dissuade them. When you see what he has said this week if we had not been so inured to his ignorance and narcissistic actions right thinking people would have descended on the White House and thrown him out.  Earlier in the week it was reported in the Wall Street Journal:Mr. Trump said testing for Covid-19 was overrated and allowed for the possibility that some Americans wore facial coverings not as a preventive measure but as a way to signal disapproval of him.”

This is his signal to his true believers not to wear masks. He wants people who take that precaution to be given a hard time and attacked as some have been in the past. That’s the type of leadership his followers want. A president that makes America a real outlier when it comes to Covid-19. Check the charts. Unlike the European nations that hit a top and quickly came down, we are floating around the top with around 120 thousand dead Americans. South Korea has less than 500. We have the most in the world in what is supposed to be the most advanced country of the world and there is no end in sight simply because Trump dropped the ball in the beginning and continues to advocate that people not follow safety measures.

Not only is it all about him with masks, you know people wearing them because they do not like him, but he even thinks it is all about him with respect to the law and Supreme Court decisions. He posted on Tweeter: ““Do you get the impression that the Supreme Court doesn’t like me?”  That’s how he thinks. If a judge rules against him it is personal. There is no law if he disapproves of it. There is nothing he can do that is against the law. He has all the marks of a dictator. He is the law.

But it Gets Worse:  Attorney General Barr – Trump’s henchman – publicly dissembled about the action of Manhattan’s United States Attorney Geoffrey Berman. Berman responded: “I learned in a press release from the Attorney General tonight that I was ‘stepping down’ as United States Attorney. I have not resigned, and have no intention of resigning, my position, to which I was appointed by the Judges of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.”

After that AG Barr fired him.  Why?  It is because he did something wrong. No. It is because Trump and Barr and friends want to commit crimes and not be held accountable. Berman is investigating criminal actions by people closely connected to Trump. He is closing in on them. He’s being fired so they can get impunity. It is simply a matter they want to control the investigations of federal crime in America protecting their people. It is so much like the Mafia.

The darling of the Trump folk, now their enemy, John Bolton tells us this: “Trump then told Erdogan he would take care of things, explaining that the Southern District prosecutors were not his people, but were Obama people, a problem that would be fixed when they were replaced by his people.”

Any pretense of law being equal in America is gone. Any pretense Trump cares about Americans is gone. It is all about him. I only wish those sad Americans who defend Trump would open their eyes, see how he is destroying America, and admit they care less about American traditions.

    STORY AT-A-GLANCE

Francis Boyle, who drafted the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989, believes COVID-19 is a weaponized pathogen that escaped from Wuhan City’s Biosafety Level (BSL) 4 facility
A Lancet paper published by physicians who treated some of the first COVID-19 patients in China showed that patient zero, the one believed to have started the transmission, was nowhere near the Wuhan seafood market. What’s more, there were no bats sold in or even close to the market
SARS-CoV-2 appears to be a benign bat coronavirus modified to integrate spike proteins that allows the virus to enter human cells by attaching to ACE-2 receptors
The virus also appears to have been modified to integrate an envelope protein from HIV called GP141, which tends to impair the immune system. A third modification appears to involve nanotechnology, which allows the virus to remain airborne longer
Francis Boyle, a former advisory board member for the Council for Responsible Genetics, is a professor of international law at the University of Illinois College of Law.
His educational background1 includes an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago, a juris doctor (lawyer) degree from Harvard and a Ph.D. in political science. For decades, he’s advocated against the development and use of bioweapons, which he suspects COVID-19 is.
In fact, Boyle was the one who called for biowarfare legislation at the Biological Weapons Convention of 1972, and the one who drafted the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989, which was passed unanimously by both houses of Congress and signed into law by George Bush Sr.
In our first, March 8, 2020, interview, Boyle shared his views on the origins of the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2. Here, we continue our discussion, as more details have emerged about this virus. One of the criticisms raised since our last interview is that Boyle has no formal training in virology. When asked what makes him qualified to speak about this particular virus, he says:
“I went to the University of Chicago, which is one of the top five universities in the country, if not the world. There I took their bio pre-med sequence, which was biochemistry, population biology and genetics, and got straight A’s.
I was in there competing with all the University of Chicago bio pre-med students for grades and my biochem lab partner went to Harvard Medical School.
I won the University of Chicago’s Sigma Zi award and prize in biology for my graduating year. They gave out one per year and it usually went to seniors, but in my case, they had to make a special exception because I was a graduating junior.
So, yes, I’m not a scientist, but one of the reasons the Council for Responsible Genetics asked me to get involved was that my knowledge in this field was well-known to my life science friends there on the Harvard faculty, and that’s how I got involved here.
I had basic rudimentary training, actually very good training, at the University of Chicago, and my professors there, professor friends at Harvard in the life sciences, I guess they vouched for me. So, when I was asked to join shortly after CRG was founded in 1983, I agreed to do so and they asked me to handle their biological warfare work.”
    SARS-COV-2 — A BIOLOGICAL WARFARE WEAPON

“Novel coronavirus” means it is a new virus not previously known to previously infect humans. The currently held conventional view is that SARS-CoV-2 was transmitted through animals (zoonotic transmission), specifically bats. Boyle dismissed this notion in our initial interview, and still refutes the idea.
While a widely-cited paper,2 published in the Nature journal on February 3, 2020, claims to establish that SARS-CoV-2 is a coronavirus of bat origin that then jumped species, the work of one of the authors of that paper, Shi Zhengli, actually involved the weaponization of the SARS virus. (Another Nature paper3 published that same day reiterates the idea that the COVID-19 pandemic is zoonotically transmitted.)
HOWEVER, ACCORDING TO BOYLE, OTHER SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE ESTABLISHES THAT THIS IS INDEED AN ENGINEERED SYNTHETIC VIRUS THAT WAS NOT TRANSMITTED FROM ANIMALS TO HUMANS WITHOUT HUMAN INTERVENTION.

    • “Is COVID 19 a biological weapon?”

No. It is being used as a political weapon by both sides.

  6. William M. Connolly

I agree with NC, and add only this about several recent Supreme Court decisions: I humbly consider them constitutionally wrong, continual manifestations of Judicial Activism, the Court acting like a Super Legislator. What I think may not count much, but please note several Supreme Court Justices also have vehemently dissented from Roberts’ majority’s usurping Legislative Authority and/or Executive Authority.

On another front: The public health/medical/ethical front, please consider the following ideas/opinions, which vigorously dissent from Matt’s views.

Why Testing may mean nothing:. Twenty-four Clemson football players recently tested positive; all were asymptomatic (as a precaution they’ll isolate for 10 days) . . .a number of staff, let’s say another 20 also tested positive; again no symptoms; they too will isolate. More testing is turning up more positives who are without symptoms, and we know this because the hospitalization rates and death rates are going down. SIMPLE

Worldwide, the U.S. is where it’s always been: About ten Western European Countries are substantially above it and a few more about the same in terms of DEATHS PER MILLION POPULATION. (Note bene: Epidemiologists in the future will splice out those who died FROM covid-19 and those who died WITH covid-19. I have read that three persons who died from gunshots in Washington State ere listed as Covid deaths, because they tested positive for Covid (in emergency room or upon death), for example.

Now, Matt: you know Mayor Walsh tested over one thousand PROTESTERS, who clustered together, side by side, for hours at a time, and only one percent tested positive for Covid. When they acquired the virus, during the Protests or prior thereto, know one knows, for sure. You also know that Boston College is opening its football stadium to a smaller crowd (15,000 versus 45,000) for the Labor Day Weekend Friday Night B.C. v. Syracuse Football Game.

You do know if, as Trump’s campaign says, they will TEST folks before they enter the arena (temperatures or otherwise) that may be as effective as doing what B.C. will do: require everyone to wear masks and gloves. “The campaign will check attendees’ temperatures and give out hand sanitizer and face masks before entry, Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale tweeted on Monday. ”

And you do know, don’t you, that masks protect others from the mask wearer who is infected, and do not protect the wearer themselves for acquiring viral infections. Don’t you? You are well aware of the microbiome, nanobiome and picobiome, the latter meaning viruses can contain smaller viruses measured in picometers, and bacteria can contain viruses measured in nano meters, and that masks, one human-being study showed, DO NOT PROTECT the wearer from small particulate matter, which small particles may contain virus particles at thousands of times more concentration than larger particles.

Matt, you are aware that continuing ISOLATION and JOBLESSNESS has its own dire health consequences: increase rates of depression, alcoholism, drug addiction, suicides, spousal battering, divorce, and depression of the immune system that makes folks more susceptible to deadly disease.

Matt, it is good and healthy for people to go outside and get sunshine and recreate and congregate and engage in social events and political events and recreational events. Matt, phobia’s are harmful, too; fear is harmful; hate is harmful to the hater and the ones at whom he directs his opprobium (sp.?), epithets and hateful words, attitudes and actions. Like Dan Ryan always said, “Hating takes too much out of you.” Tolerance and acceptance of differing views is supposed to be a liberal attribute.

I see the Trump supporters as being happier than the doom and gloom leftists, the former Hillary supporters, who go around moping, moaning, and spewing nothing but mud, vitriol, invective, and hate.

Those who disagree with liberals, or leftists, are not, ipso facto, swamp dwelling neanderthalic reprobates; conservatives, moderates and even some liberals who support the Trump-Pence Administration are as intelligent and ethical as any leftist-liberal Americans who support Biden and the Dems. Sad, that some leftist-liberals can not wrap their minds around that notion.

    • “I agree with NC, and add only this about several recent Supreme Court decisions: I humbly consider them constitutionally wrong….”

Isn’t the Supreme Court wrong? They base their opinions on politics. I thought they were suppose to base their opinions on previous cases results. How far off am I?

  7. wa-llahi! The Tulsa event will be a fine example of natural selection at work. Hopefully, it will lessen the number of morons in the national gene pool. When the fascist imbeciles attending come down with Covid 19, no one will be surprised. Down with Glorious Leader and the chumps who worship him. Too bad there isn’t a high enough cliff for Trump to lead his followers over. It would be quicker that way, less suffering for the ignorant fools.

  8. The Trump supporters are happy folks. The sad sacks are the liberals who lost the last election and acted like cry babies. The U S Attorney works at the pleasure of the President. He can replace him any time he wants. The idea that a Court can appoint a replacement is absurd. A total usurpation of power. The U S Attorney is in the Executive branch of government not in the Judicial. Any Court that appoints an acting U S Attorney is violating the seperation of powers doctrine of the Constitution. 2. The Supreme Court telling Trump that he can’t revoke a prior president’s executive order is also a clear violation of executive authority. The laws on immigration are passed by the Congress and signed by the President. The President ( Obama) can’t unilaterally create new laws or grant special preferences. Obama’s DACA ruling was clearly illegal. New legislation would have to be passed to change the rules. It wasn’t. The idea of substantive due process is nonsense. A judicial invention. It means judges can create law out of whole cloth. A total violation of the Constitution. 3. Trump complained about a decision by a liberal judge saying he was a Democrat. In a speech shortly after Chief Justice Roberts said there weren’t any Republican or Democrat judges. The judge contradicted the President. If the judge wants to engage in political speech he should resign and join the political fight..Roberts is clearly anti Trump. He is a partisan and shouldn’t rule on any matters involving the Executive. Happy days are here again.

    • I wish you would put a 1. before your first statement if you are going to have a 2. and a 3. in the same post. Lets get some civility on this blog. And a new paragraph would be proper as well. I mean, would it kill you?

I thought Happy Days was canceled.

The big fires are starting out West again. If we only had listened to Bonespurs and raked our forests like the Finns. I think MY plan would work. Let the Mexicans across the border but hand each of them a rake and send them out into the woods. Rake America Great Again!

What do you think the best thing Harding did as POTUS? His crowning achievement, so to speak.
