Whitey’s Gone “Don’t Think Whitey Will Experience The Winds Sweeping Down the Plains”

I had scheduled a post for today on Whitey but the Trump matters made me push it back until November 1. I was just told by my son Whitey was murdered in prison in Oklahoma. What I wrote is now somewhat dated but here it is with a little amendments and additions.

“We all know it is in Oklahoma where the winds come sweeping down the plains. Perhaps most of you know that 89-year-old James “Whitey” Bulger is or will soon be in Oklahoma. There, at a transfer station, ironic it is the same name used by my town where we drop off our trash  to be sorted, he will be sorted and sent to his final destination. He’s supposedly not in the best health and rumor has it that he will be sent to a hospital facility where he can live out his final days. In other words he is heading for the last roundup. It would only be fitting that he be sent to Carswell which is in Fort Worth, Texas . Isn’t Texas the land of the last roundups?”

I went on to describe the medical facilities that he might be sent to.  I asked, “Would they consider sending him to his home state where he could be close to family? That would be nice but I don’t think he’s the type of guy they’d go out of their way for, and on top of that, Whitey has no juice anymore so I’d rule that out.

What about sending him to Rochester, Minnesota? How far is Rochester from Waseca, MN. From what I can see the driving time over the 55 miles is  less than an hour on U.S. 14 West. Now that would be a nice treat by the Bureau of Prisons if they have any romance left in it. Waseca is where Catherine Greig the girlfriend of Whitey is serving out her time. Then at least Whitey would end his days close to her. By the way, if Jim can last Catherine is due out in less than two years on 09/29/2020. The day of her release she could just pop over to see him.”

I then mentioned Butner in North Carolina noting “that may be where 85-year-old Frankie Salemme ends up since he too is heading for the last roundup. So we are left with wondering will it be the usual (Butner), the compassionate (Devens), the romantic (Rochester) or the Lone Star State.”

I noted: “I was sorry to see him leave Florida. I had written to him telling him I’d be in Florida over the winter and asked if he would see me. He didn’t answer. I took it for a no. Maybe I’ll try again if he gets to Devens if enough time remains for me to do it.”

I continued: “I learned about his transfer from the Globe and the Herald. The Globe continues with its nonsense writing “in the 1970s and 1980s . . . [he was] while running a sprawling criminal enterprise involved in gambling, extortion, and drug trafficking.” Never thought of South Boston as “sprawling.” The Herald had worse coverage. It interviewed Mary Callahan the wife of the late John Callahan. She said: “That means he’ll probably die in Oklahoma, He deserves it.  You’re not supposed to wish bad for anybody. It’s hard not to in his case.”

Mary’s husband didn’t wish bad for anyone. He just arranged for an innocent business man to be murdered so that he could take over his business. Believe it or not, Ripley should hear this, John Callahan was determined to be a victim of Whitey and as his wife Mary got to share his loot with other victims. More than anything this showed the perversity of the Boston U.S. attorney’s office.

Whitey didn’t murder Mary’s husband. John Martorano did. But if anyone ever put himself in the position to be murdered it was John Callahan. He paid Martorano fifty thousand dollars to kill a business owner in Tulsa, Oklahoma. When Martorano thought Mary’s husband might finger him he did away with him..

If you hire hit men to kill people you should not be considered a victim. When you play with fire, we teach our kids, you may get burned. When you deal with hit men, you may get hit. It’s part of the risk. Too bad the Boston U.S. attorney couldn’t figure that out.”

I can now add, if you kill people, you may get killed.

There will be few tears shed over his departure. He pretty much was irrelevant at this time. He was nothing more than a small time hoodlum who got a big reputation, far bigger than he deserved, because of his connection to others and media hype which was swallowed by federal prosecutors in the same way they believed John Callahan was a victim.

Steve Flemmi molested and murdered his stepdaughter, Deborah Hussey, and mutilated her corpse.

Steve Flemmi wolfed on young Debbie Davis, is prime suspect in murdering her disapproving father, co-opted her basically good natured brother Steve into a happy dope peddler and terrified enabler of his little sister’s debauching by the hoary mafia monster, and strangled and mutilated her corpse as well.

We’ve beaten it out collegially and in great detail on this blog that the foisting of Flemmi’s ladies laid badly to rest on Jimmy Bulger was preposterous.

I don’t care about any other Flemmi abominations besides these two murders.

I knew Jimmy . He was a Ladykiller … Not …A … Lady killer. Yes, he was a killer. But, of course … So many people knew him . He was tough. He was 89 and he was worth hitting really really hard . His murder was overkill . Does it make a difference ?

Well, YEP , it does . There are all sorts of ways to send messages with mafia hitmen . Some are as garbled in the frenzy of the hitter as a trio spread in deathly array in the spaghetti and marinara sauce of the little cafe ; And some as terse , punctual , and punctilio signature professional as a high quality bond warrant from the king. Why waste three Acts on a play when you know One will do .

    Why indeed ?!?

So, this was a big fuckup.

A murder by omission as well as commission.

We’re keeping a serious eye on you crazy kids, FREDDIE !!!

    Who’s your Daddy ?!?

    What a FUCKING HEADACHE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Matt
A few things. Am I surprised he was murdered. Yes. Karma? Well that’s debatable as no one knows Karna exists for a fact. But what would karma mean in this case? Bulger was going to die soon so is it the suffering he felt before dying? Some report his eyes were gouged and the killers tried to cut his tongue out. Beat beyond recognition. Don’t know if its fact.

Now did you know Paul Weadick was housed in same facility? If I read the reports correctly. Too strange how all this went down. From his capture to his woman refusing to talk and now his murder its just points to some shady shady stuff

On a side I seriously think you are minimizing the effects LSD had on Bulger. Was he capable of killing before LSD well we will never know. But its certainly not beyond realm of possibility that LSD was a factor in desensitizing him to murder.

More to come later. Have you seen pics of how bad Bulger looked these last few years?

You live by the sword you die by the sword

    • Jerome:

Whitey did his first murder in his forties. He murdered Donald McGonagle who was mistaken for his brother Paulie. He pulled up in his car aside him with Billy O’Sullivan and shot him in cold blood. LSD did not make him do it. He was not tripping. He did it as part of a gang war. None of the Whitey killings were done in heat of the moment, they were all planned or thought out before hand and had a rational gangland motive. That’s why I discredit the LSD argument especially since Whitey was bad to the bone as a youngster.

It seems from a good Globe article on Freddy Geas that he was the one who did it. Weadick would not have a grudge against Whitey even though he was Flemmi’s partner. If you want to speak of karm wait until someone catches up with Flemmi – he’s the real turncoat on the Mafia.

      • Matt
Great reply. But I am not saying that LSD alone caused Whitey to kill. What I am suggesting is is it possible that LSD was a piece of the puzzle that allowed Whitey to kill with no remorse no guilt etc. We are learning today the impact Football has on some men and their cognitive deterioration. Bulger took a huge amount of LSD. Matter of fact just the fact that MkUltra exists shows that this government thought LSD has or had the potential for mind CONTROL.

On a side note. Can you write up an article on what secrets Whitey took to the grave. What holes and gaps could he fill in this crazy story. Cause I still don’t think we know the whole story. Flemmi Weeks Martorano and crew know of course but they aren’t talking

It was reckless careless and seems planned by government to leave Whitey alone and unprotected. Too easy to get him. Almost like it was planned.

  11. The death penalty is essential for good order in prisons. Those who murder guards or fellow inmates should be subject to it. A disincentive is required. An additional life sentence to one already serving life is no deterrent. 2. Inmates over 80 should be held in a different facility from the younger incarcerated.

    • NC:

      1. Agree – they just executed a guy in Idaho or some other western state who murdered a guard. I’m sure whoever did it to Whitey will be vacationing in Florence, Colorado the prison that a former warden said was hell on earth. If it was Freddy Geas he’ll fit in good out there. Maybe he can bunk in with Tsarnaev. 2. Inmates over 80 should have to walk into a room as big as a closet that has a door on both sides every day one at a time. He walks in and closes the door behind him. Then the door in front unlocks and he walks out. But every so often according to an algorithm the exit door will not open and the prisoner will be trapped. The oxygen will be withdrawn from the closet and the prisoner will expire. That will make more room for the younger prisoners who can do their own executions.

      • John King McDonald

        Matt:

That room getting smaller every day that passes ???

        GET OVER IT !!!

You are a prisoner of your fear of death .

Just tip the Vicar and hope for the best

  12. Was Whitey a victim? He certainly was of the Federal Government’s MK Ultra program. No one knows what the effects of heavy doses of LSD produce. What is worse water boarding or drug experiments on the brain? Aren’t they both a form of torture? Whitey hadn’t killed anyone prior to his being tortured so the torture may have been a contributing factor. 2. Agree with Janet that worse offenders were coddled so as to propagate the myth of the arch criminal Whitey. The Mafia controlled the rackets in East Boston, the North End and the Combat Zone. Whitey had zero influence in those areas. Yet the Feds partner with the Mafia and the Media to manufacture a force more sinister than LCN. A total fantasy. A complete fabrication. Was his killing planned? Was this a Deep State operation? 3. Had a conversation with a neighbor of Whitey and asked him if he would be killed in prison the way Fr. Geogan was? He said no because Whitey would fight back unlike the frail Geogan. One has no capacity at 89 and wheelchair bound to fight back. It looks suspicious.

    • NC:

      1. MK Ultra would seem to do away with rational planning for murders. All Whitey’s murders were done for a purpose for which he had reasoned it was necessary to murder the person. The LSD is just an excuse – Whitey may or may not have killed anyone prior to MK Ultra but if it had an effect on him he certainly did not show it during his 16 years on the run.

      2. The worst offenders may have been coddled but they were all buddies of Whitey. Live with the wolves then you act like the wolves. Suggesting they were of a degree worse than Whitey is wrong; they may have murdered more people and done them on their own but that does not lessen Whitey’s evilness. Agree, Whitey had no influence in the Mafia and the Mafia was evil. But that’s the “whataboutism” that suggests because one group is more evil than another the lesser evil is somehow all right. As you know, “Deep State” is a Trump invention just like the idea that we are being invaded by a cavaran of people coming up through Mexico.

      3. I forgot Geogan was murdered in prison. The guy that did it got a life sentence even though he was serving a life sentence. Much ado about nothing. Doubtful 89-year-old guys can do much fighting back. Globe has a good article on Freddy Geas who is suspect in murder. He’s 51 and was with someone else. Whitey had no chance. I’m not making any more out of this than Geas in his demented mind wanted to be known as the man who murdered Whitey Bulger and when Whitey showed up struck at his first opportunist.

  13. The evil men do live after them; the good oft interred with their bones.
Jim Bulger’s family loved him and his brothers stood by him, knowing he was a criminal, not knowing he was a murderer. No one knew he was a murderer, until mid to late 1990s.

Men I’ve loved and mourned were involved in crime. They were good to their wives and children and girlfriends and neighbors. They were good to me. Many loved them. My closest friends lead lives of crime. I loved them and mourned them and knew all the good they did in life, too.

I know the evil men like Fred Wyshak and his cohort Persecuting Power Abusing Federal Prosecutors have done.

I know Wyshak, Sterns, Durham et al conspired with Morris, the admitted rogue FBI agent, admitted attempted murderer, admitted bribe acceptor and offered him obscenely lenient deals (including FREEDOM in witness protection) for his patently perjurious testimony against his underling John Connolly, a wholly innocent man, who did his job and “protected” no Informant, telling them “no violence, no killing” as a condition of continuing as an informant.

I know the evil Wyshak has done, the Jihadi Javert, who thought he was on a Crusade to get Billy Bulger, who in fact was on a unholy jihad to persecute innocent men and women (including a 50 year old Nurse accused of depositing her husband bookie’s earingings. . .that’s it . . .Wyshak recommended 8 years in prison for the bookie’s swife, the first so prosecuted, because she was John Connolly’s sister in law. For Congressman’s Tierney’s Wife who admitted laundering about $8 million of her brother bookie’s offshore money, Wyshak recommended “Probation” . . . .Evil, the unequal administration of the law, prosecutorial persecution, abuse of power.

Wyshak released offered obscenely lenient deals to the vicious serial killers, woman killers, drug dealers, Flemmi and Martorano, involved in at least 50 killings, admitting to killing at least 35. Wyshak slapped other killers on the wrist as he continued his Jihad . . .Jihadi Javert . . .

Wyshak and his cohorts in the FED Prosecutors Office and their bosses in DC conspired (worked together behind the scenes) to pursue many other innocent folks directly or indirectly connected to South Boston, Boston, Irish Catholics, Boston College and the Honorable William F. Bulger.

Prosecute Wyshak and his cohorts for abuse of federal prosecutorial power . . .read my four books which address this subject, they go back to 2006: The Fix, Character Asssassins I, Character Assassins II, Three Billboards Outside Boston . . .End the Cover Up . . . .Expose the Federal Abuse of Power . . .

And re-read Dylan Thomas’s Refusal to Mourn the Death, Dunne’s Death be Not Proud, Dylan Thomas’ Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night, Dylan Thomas’s The Hunchback in the Park and Franz Kafka’s The Hunger Artist . . .and contemplate the artwork of Hopkins, Manet, Rothko, and listen to Dvorak’s New World’s Largo and Williams’ Schindler List Theme . . .

And I will not go gentle in that good night and I would not celebrate the murder of the men who murdered by cousins and my friends.

R.I.P, Jim Bulger, Eddie Connors, Billy Sullivan, Tony Veranis, JImmy O’Toole, Billy Rogers and Mike Rogers, Jr.

May they all rest in peace. The good that men do will live after them in some minds. The victims’ families mindfully magnanimously remembering that the wheels of God grind slowly yet they grind exceeding fine. “Vengeance is mind, says the Lord.” It is not ours. It is ours to stand for what’s right and stand against injustice, as we’ve seen done by the killers, by the federal prosecutors, and by the patently perjuring killers Wyshak used (the Boston jury did not believe one word of Martorano, yet Wyshak brought him to Miami to sing the same foul song, his memory and Flemmi’s duly refreshed about a 20 year old triple hearsay single sentence, to sing the same foul song before and fool a Miami jury, befuddled by 5 STATE COPS from MASSACHUSETTS sitting behind Wyshak everyday in a 5 WEEK STALINISTIC SHOW TRIAL IN MIAMI.)

Peace to all. Fight the good fight. Do good and fear no man. Up the Republic.

  14. In prison you die by knife.

In my opinion Whitey was beaten beyond recognition for a reason. It wasn’t him. His deal of a lifetime came through. His is well out of the US now and is where no one knows him. Probably Polynesia. His girlfriend will be released soon and she will join him. He played his cards and they went for it. What the hell?

BUT …. WHO’S GONNA WATCH DA’ PUPPIES ???

  17. I was pulling for Rochester MN. The BOP messed up. It’s happened before. Steve Desalvo had heart attack at the airport. They just left him sitting there dozing like he was waiting for a plane. JB would have liked Rochester FMC. Plenty of OG who were out to kill each other on the street learn to live with their enemies inside. When you have a life sentence everybody is in the same boat. Must of been an open contract on him. Wops, probably, didn’t do the deed, but, I figure they paid for it. Most likely, bikers got tasked with the beat down. If the BOP had surveillance, and, it would be very odd, if they didn’t, it will all come out in the wash. Git-back’s a bitch.

    • Khalid:

Whoever did it will be given a trip to Florence. Not the one where lots of tourists head to. But the one in Colorado the housed the shoe bomber and his ilk; the place where John Gotti said good bye to us.

      • The tip-off came from OK. Everybody mixes in transit. Messages get passed to every islet in the gulag Americana. News can travel faster than you think. Geas had it all figured out before the old man landed. Florence for him? You’d think so, but, this is the age of corruption. The BOP is understaffed, and, under supervised. That’s, when, odd things start to occur.

Geas is the new Silverstein. Perhaps, he’ll meet the old one at Florence

  18. How can anybody say Jim Bulger murdered anyone? Because Weeks, Martarano, and Stevie said he did? None of their stories are consistent! It’s true Jim was a victim of MK Ultra, he had migraines and sleep disorders, but it didn’t turn him into a killer. He was accused of being a rat because Zip opened a file and filled it with bogus reports to keep the heat off and give them an excuse if they were seen together. The media ran with everything because that’s who they are…and the myth was born. Was he a criminal? Yes. Was he what the media and his ex-business partners said he was? No. So an 89 year old man was beaten to death in federal prison after being a scapegoat. But the real killers are still on the street. The whole thing is a travesty.

    • RIP Jimmy…

    • John,

Agree – yes it is true those who ratted him out are our source of his involvement in the murders – however hard to see how he wasn’t involved in killing Tommy King, Donald McGonagle (he admitted that to Janet Uhlar, Paulie McGonagle, and the Halloran/Donohue murders. Can’t see Weeks was able to do the six found buried – he wasn’t even with Whitey when they happened so he had to have told him where he buried them. I don’t give him a pass on up to ten murders although I do with the women and the Jai Alai connected matters.

It was more than Zip opening a file. Whitey met with the SAC and told him he was an informant because the FBI was good to his family after he was sent to prison. Whitey had to have known he was being carried as one even if he wasn’t giving out much information but was mainly getting protection. Flemmi was the real deal when it came to giving information on the Mafia.

Absolutely true that Martorano, Weeks and Nee are on the street. Flemmi the worst of all is under the Justice Department protection and he too might be on the street. They were bad but so was Whitey. Hard pressed to agree that all his top gangster buddies were murderers and he wasn’t.

  19. Matt — I am saddened by his death — as I am by the death of anyone. I worked with Jim after his release from prison and I believe, in the year we worked together, he was trying to leave his criminal past behind him — if only to stay out of prison. He said as much, and for at least the year he worked with me he held two jobs and seemed headed in a better direction. And during this time he showed absolutely no effects of the unethical/ criminal MKUltra experiments. He is in God’s hands for the final judgement. No earthly judgements matter now. May he rest in peace !

    • Jocko:

You knew the guy under different circumstances. I understand that you might feel bad about his murder. I can’t because of the suffering he brought to so many others including the members of his family who had to suffer because of the evil people who suggested that somehow they were involved in his criminality. Whitey, you knew his as Jim or Jimmy, was not quite the criminal he was made out to be – he never really got far away from his comfort zone of South Boston even in his flight. Didn’t all of his murders except for Eddie Connors and Spike O’Toole take place in Southie with the two mentioned occurring in or nearby Savin Hill which lean up against Southie. I often think had he stayed working with you he could have had a nice quiet, he’d have risen through the ranks to the top, with that perhaps doing a little bookmaking on the side, retired with a pension, and spent the remainder of his days living quietly in South Boston going to the beach in the summer and for walks around Castle Island during the rest of the year. The only aggravation he’s have to put up with is people who parked in the spot he cleared on snowy days for his car in the winter.

True it’s up to God to decide what comes next for Whitey. He’ll be hard pressed to be merciful but then who knows.

  20. Not many are “sorry to see him go.” Had he been the person the Boston Globe and Herald “journalists” presented in their false narrative, I wouldn’t be sorry to see him go either. Lord knows, I’ll rejoice at the death of Morris, Martorano, Flemmi, Weeks, Nee, and Wyshak. I’ll go out of my way to spit on their graves.
I am deeply saddened to learn of Jim Bulger’s death, and I’m not alone.
Jim Bulger’s tale was presented as gospel truth by an obsessive assistant US attorney and the journalists of Boston. The tale was based on the expensive testimony of 5 horrific criminals whose body count is more than 100 souls. Commonsense tells anyone with it, that the scales of justice were altered by the Boston US Attorney’s Office — how is it that these 5 demons have their freedom and financial security? How is it that their crimes weigh less in Wyshak scales of “justice” than those of Jim Bulger?
Those who aren’t sorry to see him go never communicated with him. None of those journalist ever went to the source to corroborate their stories. None researched Bulger’s exposure to LSD for more than a year, and what it did to the mind of that 26-year-old. Few realize that in the US Senate hearing in 1977 on the Mkultra project the CIA admitted that they were attempting to modify behavior to the point of making individuals homicidal. Few know what Bulger remembered from the Mkultra Project. And, the sorry truth is, precious few care. The story was spun and sold years ago by Wyshak and his cronies from the Globe and Herald, duping the general public. Your opinions of Jim Bulger are worthless. Now he’s gone — you’ll have to find another tale to follow. I suggest you listen to Donny Trump or Fox News, plenty of fake news there to latch onto — or maybe you can find something new by Shelley Murphy in the Globe, or Howie Carr in the Herald. Plenty to choose from….let them do the thinking for you!

    • “I am deeply saddened to learn of Jim Bulger’s death……”

I never met the man. Tell me some of the good things about him that are adding to your sadness, please.

    • Janet:

If the the Mkultra project had such a detrimental effect on Whitey how was it that he wasn’t homicidal? Whitey was bad before he was sentenced at age 26 and after he was released from prison. He murdered people for rational reasons not as an out-of-control person. He had motives for each of his murders such as eliminating competition. When he wanted he certainly behaved himself. Sixteen years after he fled the indictment he had no trouble not murdering anyone. Actually, most of the time between his release from prison until his flight he only murdered people during two periods of time amounting to two or three years. I suggest you sympathy for him is misplaced as he was little different from the other people you mention.

It really is amazing that you think the only reason he was bad is because of the CIA in light of the facts. Whitey was a man who murdered people. Those who are deeply saddened by his death outside of his family have to be a rare bunch indeed.

    • This is where your book begins, Janet .
The writer has a movie in her head . Now, how to get it down on paper.

  21. An 89 year old man in a wheelchair get moved between 3 prisons in how many days? We read it was a very tough prison with a bad rep, interesting. Not buried in South Boston right? The grave would be hounded, so cremated? Any last quotes from Billy? Howie Carr should be able to crank out a quick book just off the prison time that Jimmy did, behind bars and then the killing! Ironic , that a man who caused so much trouble has been a boon to so many books and multiple films.

    • Norwood:

I expect the family will claim his body. They’ll have a private ceremony. They’ll bury him in a place where only they know about it. I don’t expect them to say anything about it.

As for books, all the authors will have a chance to regurgitate their tales. Howie will ahve several delightful articles – apparently he went to his buddy Martorano to get inside information on the murder and Martorano who knows nothing about it said it was the Mafia. That’s unlikely since that would take a little planning and Whitey just arrived at the West Virginia prison.

  22. Can’t say I’m sorry to see him go. Still, Bulger’s apparent murder is very shocking. My understanding is that he asked to be put into gen pop. That would have made it much easier to kill him. Still, you have to wonder why an ailing 89-year-old man was shipped to West Virginia in the first place, and why, if he did indeed request gen pop, that request was granted. I doubt this was a revenge killing. More likely some nitwit inmate thought he could gain prestige by murdering an old man. We’ll see. The Bureau of Prisons has some answering to do for sure.

    • Dan:

I don’t find it shocking but rather expected. I wondered why it never happened to him earlier but thought the Bureau of Prison had better control than apparently it does. In Florida he was in general population. What is shocking is that he was in West Virginia when killed; I was of the thought that he had been sent to Oklahoma fro medical evaluation and would then go to a medical facility. I’d have to guess that the West Virginia location was just a stop over on his way to somewhere else. Why that is shocking is that he arrived just the day of his murder as best I can tell.

As for it being a Mafia hit I sort of doubt it and it may not have been some nitwit inmate making a name for himself like the movie about the guy who murdered Liberty Valance. For all we know at this time it could have been an argument between Whitey and a crazed inmate whose toe Whitey ran over with his wheelchair.

      • Hi Matt,
I think the fact that Bulger was in gen pop in Florida only compounds the problem. It was shocking to me that he was in gen pop at all, and had been murdered so easily about 24 hours after arriving in West Virginia. It seems to be the case that he was savagely beaten to death. Saying that Bulger got what he deserved doesn’t excuse the appalling incompetence of the Bureau of Prisons.

I’m not blaming the Mafia, either. This has all the earmarks of an impulsive inmates-on-inmate crime. The victim, in this case, was 89, in a wheelchair, and in failing health. It was a very cowardly act, and you don’t have to shed a tear for Bulger to realize it never should have happened.

        • Dan:

Agree – never should have happened – but there’s something that doesn’t sit right. Last I read is that two guys were seen on surveillance entering his cell sometime on Monday the day he arrived at the prison. He doesn’t show up for breakfast the next morning and he’s found dead in his cell. Isn’t there some kind of night time check – aren’t these guys locked in at a certain time – he was badly beaten and wrapped in a sheet and stayed there over night. Strange case – can’t see the Mafia involved but not ruling it out. Question is how did anyone know it was Whitey. Remember someone saying news in prison spreads faster than on the internet. Could be everyone knew he was there. Don’t recall Mafia having a hit out on Whitey. Time will tell.

  23. Howie Carr on Twitter today:

Re reports Whitey Bulger was murdered by a mafia guy… Winter Hill Boss Johnny Martorano told me this afternoon, “If it’s true, it’s perfect karma.”

    10:19 AM – 30 Oct 2018

    • HENRY:

Is that a quote. “Winter Hill Boss Johnny Martorano tole me . . ..” Didn’t Howie write a book saying Martorano was “Whitey Bulger’s Hitman.” How then does Martorano become the boss? Or is it that Whitey is dead he achieved that distinction now that there is no Winter Hill gang anymore. Martorano likes to pretend he is still connected. He knows as much about the murder of Whitey as I do which right now is nothing more than he was murdered..

      • That was a quote from a Twitter post by Mr Carr.

The UK Daily Mail relates that Whitey was allegedly murdered to prevent him naming FBI informants.

        • Henry:

If Whitey was killed to prevent him from naming FBI informants someone was highly misinformed. How would Whitey know any FBI informants? He’s been out of the loop since 1994 almost 25 years. If he knew any they have gone ahead of him to the big resting place.

Jesus … So pissed off I just glanced at your title and posted . Just read niw. This is the best post you have ever written. And it tells me something . That you plainly state ( and here your grateful acolyte will mop up some Communion wine you spilled ) the disjunction between the Widow Callahan’s genuine grief at the loss of a husband who mayhap shielded her from his mob ties and the simple fact of those associations making him less of a victim , signals revolt. To revolt from the Bulger Myth Forced Fed ranks of the hypnotized requires guts .
We both know how this game is played
. As does Billy Bulger . You think WE’RE hacked about this ?!? OUTSTANDING .
