  2. Dear Khalid,
Here’s information for your buddy “crazy about 911.” Today, Kinnon is a Randolph police detective. He received a Secret Service citation for “….gallantry…” The woman’s brains splattered on a fellow Marine named “Christian.” This is part of a book that should be published next month.

    “~11am Friday September 14, 2001
Rainy, cool morning. Inside Muls at wall table. Waitress announced moment of silence for terrorist victims and their families.

Merry gave news about Kinnon. After first World Trade Center attack, Kinnon and two other Marines emerged from subway. Minutes later, second plane hit. Flaming disk smashed woman’s head and her brain splattered Kinnon’s friend.

Ricky’s at World Trade Center with 61 other Massachusetts firemen. Boston Herald mentioned Ricky: ‘Boston Fire Lt. Richard Parker, who specializes in terrorist attack preparedness for the city, described the mood of recovery workers as ‘somber.’ ‘Our job is not a pleasant one, but it’s one we train for. If we do a good job and no one gets hurt, then we can feel a sense of accomplishment and pride.’ said Parker, 45, a married father of two sons.”

    “~10:25pm Monday September 17, 2001
On living room couch with Rebecca watching Fox News. Ricky’s wife, Judy, phoned, saying, ‘Ricky will be on Fox News.’ Asked, ‘How’s he doing?’ Judy said, ‘Fine. They’re working 14 hour shifts and he’ll be home tomorrow night.’

Yesterday Kinnon phoned, saying, ‘Me and two of my group were heading for a meeting at the World Trade Center. We got off the subway just after the first explosion. Hundreds of people rushed into the station yelling, ‘A bomb. A bomb.’ A security guard came out, saying, ‘You must leave. There was a bomb.’ Interrupted, ‘A security guard. From where?’ Kinnon replied, ‘From the World Trade Center. They have a subway entrance. I told him we worked for the military bomb squad, but he wouldn’t let us inside. Upstairs there were all kinds of people running. I saw people jumping off the building. It was a morbid sight but I couldn’t stop watching. We were on the other side of the first hit. There was a second explosion and tons of debris came raining down. A woman was hit by burning metal. The metal disk came from the second plane. She was a few feet away.’

Again interrupted, ‘Came from the plane?’ Kinnon said, ‘It came from the plane and crushed her head. My buddy (Marine Lt. Christian Blue) was sprayed with her brains.’ Asked, ‘A few feet?’ Heard, ‘It happened right beside me.’ Kinnon continued fast talking. ‘We picked people up. I brought a little boy to a shop, saying, ‘Keep him right here.’ We kept helping people until a cop ordered us to leave. I told him we were in the military, but he didn’t care. We took a subway to Times Square and watched the buildings collapse.’ After pause, Kinnon blurted, ‘The whole area where we stood was destroyed.’ Asked,’ ‘What about the cop who made you leave?’ Kinnon said, ‘He’s definitely dead.’”

    “~6pm Tuesday September 18, 2001
On I-95 heading for Chelmsford scuba class. Slow traffic allows notebook writing. Terrorist attacks changed America. Like most people, worry about future.

Last week, phoned scuba shop. 60ish owner, Tom, said, ‘Chuck (Chuck Jones) was a great guy. A retired Air Force Colonel. Everybody’s upset.’ Thousands murdered at World Trade Center. Kinnon nearly killed by burning metal. Ricky’s breathing toxic fumes and sense fear everywhere. Biggest concern about future. Will growing fear cause worldwide explosion?”

  3. sometimes the questions we ask are more important
    than the answers

1.How many presidents have FBI agents elected for
    US since 1865 ?

    2. If you are the law enforcement agency
investigating the crime you just committed
do you get away with the crime ?

    3. What happens to a species when they
hire mercenaries to protect them and the mercenaries
    turn on them ?

  4. To quote, completely out of context, Hillary Clinton – “What difference – at this point, what difference does it make?” The frightening concept that is embraced here is that multiple persons had the means, motive and opportunity to kill President Kennedy and/or Governor Connolly. Will we ever know for sure who did it? Probably not. Even if we knew for sure who did it, would that knowledge prevent future assassinations? Probably not.

  5. I think I’ll agree with Khalid on this one.

Another germane remark I once heard about the world’s most investigated murder, “Time wounds all heels.”

I remember hearing that on the day at our table in Purcell’s restaurant, said by a Boston politician who shall forever remain unnamed.

    • Henry:

I read that review. The problem is everyone is looking at Oswald as the gun man. He wasn’t. He did not have the ability to pull off those shots. Oswald was set up. Others did the killing.

  6. Remember this item about Castro and JFK’s assassination?

“(CBS News) Cuban dictator Fidel Castro actually submitted to questioning by the Warren Commission following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963, a new book reveals.

The story of Castro’s questioning included in “A Cruel and Shocking Act: the Secret History of the Kennedy Assassination” by Philip Shenon, a former investigative reporter for the New York Times.

Bob Schieffer, host of “Face the Nation,” explained on “CTM,” “It’s a secret that has held for 50 years. The commission actually sent an investigator to waters off Cuba. They took him out in a U.S. Navy boat, he got onto a yacht. There was Fidel Castro and Castro had sent word that he wanted to talk to the commission and this was thought to be so controversial they didn’t do it. Anyway, the investigator gets off the boat, talks to Castro, they talk for three hours. Castro says — as you would expect — ‘No way, no how did I have anything to do with it,’ and it turns out, and to me this is the most fascinating part of all, that young investigator was William Coleman, who later became secretary of transportation in Gerald Ford’s administration.”

“CTM” co-host Charlie Rose added, “Even more interesting he had met Castro earlier in Harlem.”

“Yes, they both liked music,” Schieffer added. “And he at first met Castro when Castro apparently was on his honeymoon in Harlem. They both loved jazz and they came to know each other. They weren’t friends but that’s why they decided it would be Coleman to do it.”

  7. Matt

Looks like selective amnesia has set in your bicameral brain.
I have always asserted JEdgar Hoover was the principal
    architect behind the JFK,MLK,RFK assassinations.
    To name just a few.
I have repeatedly asserted the organizational model
of the FBI was a Death Squad posing as a law enforcement
    agency.

I often suggested we have lunch together at Doyle’s
in JP with Ed Tatro from Quincy who scripted
and appears in the banned History Channel
documentary The Guilty Men. Watch it on YouTube

Down in the whisper stream we call the Boston
    Globe Presstitute.

Can’t wait until you catch up

    from a never writer
    to ever readers

    ugh

  8. Hillary loses and Castro dead in the same year. What did the Koch brothers have to do with this? The worst year of Bernie Sanders life. Probably caused by climate change.

    • NC

Even worse the same month and the Koch brothers also in that month were allowed to keep the two billion dollars that they got from Bernie Maddoff who by the way has the same first name as Bernie Sanders —-> feel the Bern.

  9. Even a crazy pitch sometimes creases the plate.

  10. Another intriguing Post from Matt :

…Jimmy Hoffa’s middle name was … Riddle … Ironic. Saw footage recently of Bobby Kennedy really hectoring and embarrassing him during some Senate Hearings … the roving Kefauver hearings … in ’57 . Anyone watching did not need the perspective of History to see that more than the ” handwriting ” would be on the wall as a conclusion. The McClellan Hearings were in ’63 I believe. That was the Joe Valachi/Giancana nexus stuff, but I recall from L.A. NOIR that Bobby at one point was grilling Mickey Cohen . Mickey made some quip about being an ” Electrician ” at Kennedy’s expense that brought gales of laughter. humiliating for Bobby, and clearly the lines were drawn. Bobby Kennedy’s EGO and mulish shortsighted obstinacy got his brother killed I believe.

As to the mechanics? There hsve been NOVA Documentaries citing ” yawing ” bullets, and ballistic tests with watermelons recoiling backwards, not forwards, when struck with a bullet from behind. This last scientifically refuted what had been counter-intuitive to many ; that President Kennedy’s head had jerked backwards when first struck, presumably by Oswald’s bullet from behind.

Lenny Bruce had a particularly sick bit of comedy about Jackie Kennedy having tried to scramble over the trunk of the limo to ” save her ass. ” Close film study and Secret Service Agent testimony confirm that this Rock of a woman was instinctively moving to scoop up her beloved husband’s brains.

I have seen people run when machine gunned upon. I have seen others hold their positions. I would wager that Jackie Kennedy did not get ” Maggie’s Drawers. ” What a Lady !

    • John:

Jackie was a jewel. Showed her courage in marrying Ari.

      • Matt,

She was indeed the Crown Jewel. Cardinal Richard Cushing was her loyal ally when many Catholics were gasping with outrage as I remember. He gave her that special dispensation to marry a magnate, Ari, whose protection I felt she was magnetized to, much more than any other considerations .

To this day, the single must poignant gesture of love between a couple, all the Jack philandering around nebulous in the instant of instinctive Truth, was when she hugged her to him as he recoiled in mortal pain. Sounds funny, but he was perhaps the luckiest man alive to have died in her embrace. Great Call, Matt!

  11. The above quote is from: A good, quick, yet thorough read!
    http://22november1963.org.uk/lee-harvey-oswald-marksman-sharpshooter

  12. On Oswald’s first USMC shooting test he barely qualified as a sharpshooter; on his last, he barely qualified as a marksman. (190 was the minimum score; he got 191, in 1959). Questions always will remain. His time in Russia, he went hunting, but only with a shotgun. His wife Marina gave contradictory evidence about his cleaning his rifle and practicing with it, at first denying he did either, then changing her testimony apparently to please the Warren Commission.
    From the web:
“The Mannlicher-Carcano rifle found on the sixth floor of the TSBD was in an unsatisfactory condition, with an inaccurate telescopic sight and an unpredictable trigger mechanism. To fire the rifle accurately, it was necessary to practice intensively. There is no credible evidence that Lee Harvey Oswald had fired a rifle of any sort for several years before the JFK assassination.
Even after correcting some of the sixth–floor rifle’s mechanical problems, and in conditions substantially easier than those that would have been faced by a hypothetical lone gunman, expert riflemen from the army and the FBI were unable to fire the rifle as accurately as Oswald was supposed to have done during the assassination (see Oswald’s Rifle and Paraffin Tests).
Even at his best, Oswald had never been as good a shot as the experts from the army and the FBI. Oswald’s most recent test score in the Marines was barely above the minimum qualifying level. He was officially “a rather poor shot” (Warren Commission Hearings, vol.19, p.18) in 1959, and was hardly likely to have improved over the next four years.
    Was Oswald the Lone Gunman?
Lee Harvey Oswald was almost certainly not a good enough marksman to fire three shots within six seconds at a moving target, scoring two hits out of three, with a rifle that was inaccurate and unreliable.
If President Kennedy was killed by a lone gunman, that gunman can only have been Oswald. The inadequacy of Oswald’s marksmanship, when combined with other evidence, in particular the severe implausibility of the single–bullet theory, demonstrates that the assassination was the work of more than one gunman.”

    We’ll never know for sure!!!

  13. A pal of mine is completely nuts about 911. He’s made a passion of it, and, a living off it. My buddy writes books, and, gives speeches, hoping to convince folks 911 was a set-up pulled off by the Mossad. One day, I said to him, “Ya know man, the 911 conspiracy is like the Kennedy assassination. Even if you had irrefutable evidence the fix was in, nobody would give a good God damn. Time heals all wounds.”

    • Khalid:

You are absolutely right. It is not that time heals all wounds it is just that no one really cares one way or the other after a while other than the few who are considered nuts.

      • Counselor 🙂

You are ” nuts” if you are doing other than coyly suggesting to our good radical that you really believe that the Capital Murder of a sitting President ever loses its … force ; either in popular imagination or the courts of law. Facetious asides about Oswald. and LBJ as pen pals debase the memory of a blood stained First Lady standing at Johnson’s elbow on Air Force One as he was sworn in . Is your … article … today, the genuine article, or some sort of giddy romp through History, just for the heck of it?

A commenter today displayed a devastating wit … paraphrasing … Khalid’s writing that well known saying ” Time heals all wounds,” rendering it in mock accord as ” Time wounds all heels.”

I enjoy word plays as well or perhaps more than another. But attribution for such genius is important : As I recollect, John Lennon coined that pun as he walked down the hallway of the Manhattan Federal Court having finally beaten the Government on his Citizenship case . He was irate at having been raked over the Counter-Cultural coals of the Government’s animus towards him.

My experience is that indeed, Time does not … wound …all heels. And in our Court of Empiric Experience I present as Exhibit ” A-Hole ” Mr. Steven Flemmi . Thete is a difference between being ” nuts ,” and not having the ” NUTS ” to do other than continue to look the other way when the strangely conventional appearing … Rifleman … is turning everyone into his … Bitch. I would be loathe to number you in that category.

I like … Rather Not …and joke with him a bit as I would with a younger brother. But I do not doubt his sincerity when he relates to me that his family, like many others in this sordid saga, has no closure when it comes to … The Rifleman.

No need to get into deep personal history, but I learned young, very young just what these bastions of apparent ” normalcy ” like Steven Flemmi can get away with. Mantled in all the accoutrements of material success , and camouflaged by houses and cars and … Decent? …. Society’s… ABSOLUTE … reluctance to believe that such American Dream Showboaters could be so hideously capable … the Flemmi’s of the world pull off an amazing conjuring act. They effectively create a Persona that strangely militates against people being willing to accept that one so like themselves could be capable of monstrosities.

Steven Flemmi’s … monstrosities … need no furthet cataloguing. They are well documented, ” Extra -Gang ” in nature, as to the extent of their pathological absurdity and completely … sanitized … by what is clearly the complicity of those … Official and Unofficial … that any objective observer from Planet X … would have to conclude are perhaps just as insane as nutty Stevie.

I must number among them any blog moderators who meticulously document his fiendish depredations and post-mortem mutilations of two beautiful young women, and then lightheartedly jokes about who is and is not ” nuts.” NUTS TO THAT .

  14. Thanksgiving night, I read some of the article and skimmed the rest. I need to go back and reread it. Came away from It thinking LBJ had some involvement.

    • GOK:

LBJ benefited greatly by the assassination. Did you know the guy who assassinated Garfield wrote to Chester A. Arthur his vice president that he should thank him for doing it because he got the presidency and a raise in pay. Maybe Oswald had plans to write to LBJ hoping to make a little money.
