There are lots of folk out there who say that the choice of 75 million Americans was ignored when Trump was declared the loser of the 2020 presidential election. Trump himself told how the 75 million votes were more than any other sitting president running for reelection in the U.S. history. Were the American folk supposed to believe that the 82 million votes for President-elect Biden were never cast? It was going to be all right to ignore the choice of 82 million voters to please the 75 million; or to give the guy who got the most votes of any sitting president running for reelection the win even though he got less than his opponent.
I know – president-elect Biden got illegal votes so he really did not get 82 million votes. If we only counted the legal votes – we are not told how to distinguish between the legal and illegal – then all Trump’s 75 million votes were legal. He just need someone to find that 8 million of Biden’s votes were illegal so that he could have won 75 million to 74 million. Too bad there wasn’t someone he could call to pressure them to find them like he tried to do with the Georgia secretary of state.
Which brings back to mind the time he ran against Hillary and lost by three million votes in 2016. He claimed then, like he is doing now, that she got more votes because of the fraudulent (illegal) votes. He asserted if those were eliminated he actually received more vote than her. Remember that?
He pulled the same song and dance four years ago. But then it was a slight bit difference, he was elected president so he was in power. To show to the country, if not the world, that he had actually received more votes than Hillary Clinton, he set up a commission with his buddies on it to investigate the votes. We would know for certain that there were millions of fraudulent votes cast for Hillary.
Perhaps I should give it the name Trump bestowed on it: The Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity (PEIC or PACEI), also called the Voter Fraud Commission. It was a presidential commission established by Trump on May 11. 2017. The Commission found hardly any voter fraud and its inability to do so caused it to be shut down in early January 2018. Trump still insisted despite this that there was still massive voter fraud (sound familiar).
He said: “Rather than engage in endless legal battles at taxpayer expense, today I signed an executive order to dissolve the commission, and have asked the Department of Homeland Security to review these issues and determine next courses of action.” As you know one of Trump’s main concerns while he was president was the cost of his actions to taxpayers as shown by his many trips to Florida to play golf.
The New York Times noted: “In fact, no state has uncovered significant evidence to support the president’s claim, and election officials, including many Republicans, have strongly rejected it.” The Homeland Security review arrived at the same conclusion as the Voter Fraud Commission but Trump never stopped beating the drum that Hillary’s 3 million majority consisted of fraudulent votes. It did not matter to him or his fans that there was no way to support his assertions. All they needed was for him to say it, to keep repeating it, and they believed him.
How could anyone ever win an election against the man who says before hand that the election is rigged which he did in 2016 and 2020 and afterwards yells his opponents votes were fraudulent? How is it people still believe him and stormed the Capitol causing 5 deaths to support his lies?
The same kind of a man that has a dance party while the seat of the Legislative branch of government is being fouled and five people will die.
